Madera-based Engineers Aid in Design of Innovative Military Transport Oct 27, 2009 Madera, CA - October 27, 2009 - Members of the Blue Dolphin Design and Engineering team are supporting American military forces by taking part in the design and development of the TAC-V Joint All-Terrain Modular Mobility Asset (JAMMA).
The JAMMA V-22 ITV is designed with modular components allowing the addition or removal of threat specific armor within minutes.
It is the only high performance armored vehicle of its kind that is capable of transport inside a United States Air Force V-22 Osprey multi-function aircraft. When stowed, the JAMMA V-22 ITV is stowed into a five foot square transport container.
Mechanical Engineers Terry Traser and John Pocock, working with Bryan Kudela’s team at Light Racing, were crucial in developing concepts for a "BEAR CAGE" rollbar system and other structural aspects. Blue Dolphin Design and Engineering utilized it’s CNC machine equipment to create some of the project’s first production pieces.
Every member of the Blue Dolphin team is proud to take part in such a worthwhile and innovative endeavor.
