Shaun Cuaron
Mechanical Engineer/Product Design Engineer

Shaun Caron joined the Blue Dolphin Engineering team in 2008. He earned his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State University, Fresno. Shaun is an EIT (engineer in training) and a member of ASME.

In previous lives, Shaun developed new products as a Product Engineer at B-K Lighting and immediately after college was a freelance engineering consultant. Shaun has received several awards and was honored as the B-K Lighting employee of the month in March 2006.

Shaun has done extensive volunteer work in the engineering field. During college he volunteered as a math tutor. He served as a judge for the American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) Student Design Competition in 2008 hosted at California State University, Fresno. During college, he was the Treasurer of both HPV and ASME from 2004-2005 and an instructional assistant. He was extensively involved in the event organization, design, and building of the competition vehicle for the National 2005 Human Powered Vehicle Competition hosted at CSU Fresno. Shaun voluntarily instructed a series of workshops on SolidWorks for students.

Shaun has strong analytical, problem solving, and project management skills. Shaun has developed multiple components requiring die cast, investment cast, and injection molding tools. Years working as part of the engineering team at a world class manufacturing company have instilled Shaun with invaluable manufacturing experience (including MRP systems, sustaining, Lean manufacturing, and efficiency improvement).
